Canon Digital Rebel XTi 10.1 MPMar 18, 2010 I have owned this camera for over two years. It was an upgrade from a point and click camera. I will never go back to the point and click. I do not have any camera of this quality to compare it to. It has been easy to learn to use. What I like most is the ability to control everything manually. The clarity of the photos are great. I have been able to blow them up and maintain the clarity of the photo.
Canon Rebel XTiMar 17, 2010 At the time I purchased this camera the thinking was to have a nice entry level DSLR for vactions and family, just to see if this is the route I would go, after all the (PAS) point and shoot of today are very, very good and cheaper by the day! The first images with a "kit" lens, and I was let down by what I shot, not much better then PAS, you can make adjustments in PS3 and it is much improved, until one day I picked up a 70-200 2.8 L series lens for sports and I must say it had a instant "WOW effect! the images I captured were TACK SHARP! magizine quailty without touch up in PS! it began a whole new era in photograpy for me, from that experience I went and purchased the 17-40 L and once again "WOW" untouched images ready for SI, Now let it be known that the Rebel has been nick named by so-called photo snobs as the "Soccer Mom Camera" but no issue on my end, my images are much sharper! Since my Rebel the photo fever has taken off I now have two other higher end DSLR's on of them being a Nikon, for sports these shoot 6 FPS double the Rebel (and double the price) and still the Rebel images are right there with the pro end cameras.

At this price I expected MUCH moreJan 14, 2010 The problem with this camera is the pictures! And after all is said and done what else do you really care about? I bought this camera for my wife who is an avid amateur family photographer. She wanted something which would take a great quality photo of the things going on around her. There are plenty of super-portable, feature loaded minis to choose from these days. Any one of them can take a decent snap shot. From there, this camera is a big step up in price and a big step down in portability. The promise is that with all it's quality craftsmanship and high tech features you will get real bang for your buck in picture quality. Sorry folks, it just is not the case. Set to full automatic - where all the bells and whistles should really show their stuff - this camera regularly overexposes ordinary daylight photos. It routinely washes out indoor shots with its own flash. And the auto focus is nothing to brag about. My wife is not a photographer. She is an ordinary person who wanted to have fun taking really good family photos. This camera was a huge let down.
Perfect for the priceNov 17, 2009 As it goes with cameras, it's usualy more about the photographer than the camera. This camera is fantastic for it's price range, and it can perform with much more expensive cameras in many instances with a small amount of know-how. When it comes to dslr cameras you can't go wrong with a canon. It's a pity though that this model has no hard drive, so it's not possible to take video clips...which would've been nice
Canon Digital Rebel XTiNov 14, 2009 This camera is easy to use, I bought this so I could take pictures of my Grandchildren. One is a brand new Granddaughter and catching her smile with my point and shoot just did not work as well as my 35mm Konica SLR. With film processing becoming very difficult to find in my area, I decided to go with a digital SLR. The first 2 weekends I had this camera I shot over 200 pictures. It was nice to be able to shoot with a SLR again. I would recomend this to anyone who used a 35mm SLR and wants to go digital
